Double Page Spread Interview
The Hallowed Eves. Why does it always feel that everyone gets chills when they hear their name? Well it’s no surprise (or maybe it literally is) with their new album “Surprise” holding the number one spot in the alternative (and far cooler I might add) charts for 6 consecutive weeks in the running and ready to shout out for another mind blowing seventh week! With their newly released singles “Shocked”, “Lost” and “Can you see me?” all claiming at least one Grammy each they’re definitely giving the hot shots like Nicki Minaj a run for their money (be worried they’re not budging from the top spot!). The Year olds are absolutely all the public are talking about, literally no conversation I’ve heard hasn’t included something about these two girls. Between planning their latest tour, organising charity events and replying to the immense bank of fan mail they’ve been getting for the past weeks, The Hallowed Eves have found the time to talk exclusively to “Rough ‘n’ Ready” about how it feels to achieve so much in so little time.
So girls, what’s it like to be up there and compared with such A-listers like Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj?
Jordz: It’s really surreal, I mean I couldn’t have ever imagined in my wildest dreams that we’d actually hit it so big in such a small space of time, My mind personally is literally blown away.
Lucie: Seriously nobody can really imagine the feeling of being in this situation unless they’ve experienced it for themselves, I mean to be liked so quickly and to be classed as close to being an A-lister well... I think we must’ve caught a lucky break
*Both Laugh*
You’ve both achieved so much for just being 17. How exactly did the thought of starting The Hallowed Eves arise?
J: Well we’ve both been into music and singing since we were little and I used to take singing lessons while I lived inScotland to help my singing voice and my memorisation of the lyrics for songs… I used to have the memory of a goldfish (Both laugh).
L: Though we lived in different parts of the country up until Middle School when Jordz moved to Biddulph and we became friends and we started hanging out in the music room at school where Jordz helped me with my singing and by this time I’d already been learning how to play the guitar so I helped with the guitar stuff. Now as well as singing we can also play guitar quite well, though we do have some trouble with the more difficult notes.
J: Nobody seems to mind though thankfully, It’s nice to have such an understanding fan base.
Wow, it’s very impressive that you both started so young, though you still are. Did you have any idols that you aspired to be like or be better than when you were younger or even now?
L: I always did since I was about 4 or 5 want to be just like Gwen Stefani when she was in No Doubt, her style of singing and her style in general was just to die for, I was always so jealous
of her. At least now I can say that we compare to an extent to her among others also.
J: Do I have any idols? Erm… I can’t say that I personally have apart from aspiring to be the best that I can possibly be, I just don’t want to have the same sort of style as somebody else. I aim to be unique.
About your next tour. Do you both expect it to be as big as the ones prior?
Both: We expect it to be bigger, better and LOUDER!
(Laughter)
So The Hallowed Eves can we be cheeky enough to ask for a sneaky preview of your new single “Whipped”?
Both: We’d love to but our manager would kill us and we like to be a tease so we’ll say this: There’s a reason it’s called “Whipped”! (Both laugh)

Introducing my band/artist
The band/duet that shall be included in my magazine goes by the name of "The Hallowed Eves" comprising of two girls aged 17: Jordzhah Rowley (Jordz for short) and Lucy Dodds (whom prefers the spelling of Lucie. Both of which have attended Biddulph High School and have been close friends since Middle School. The two decided to form the band recently at the end of October this year (hence the name relative to "Halloween" or "All Hallow's Eve") and are both determined to hit it big within the next year. Their all time aspiration for the band would be to be gigging all over the world in all the main attraction arenas. They currently only have a few original songs out but also happen to be doing there own cover versions of songs by other artists.
